The Betty Bellwood Award

Colin has kindly presented the club with “The Betty Bellwood Award” in memory of his dear wife, a founder member of M.W.C. and the welcoming face to all who joined in her time. We presented our very first Betty Bellwood award at our Christmas Dinner Dance, December 2013. Betty was a people person so we thought it would be nice for the members to decide who should receive this award. So we are asking you to nominate someone who you feel has been especially kind and helpful to you and/or to other members of the club.

Betty Bellwood 1935-2013

Don’t be shy the more nominations we receive the more we realise what a very helpful and caring club we are.
This award will be presented each year at the annual dinner to the person who over the year gets the most nominations. In the event of a tie the current president will have the casting vote. You can cast your vote any time from the 1st of January until the 1st December each year. There will be a space on your Dinner Dance Menu, for you to fill in your nomination for the person you want to vote for or you can pass on your nomination via the contact bit of this website or just contact any committee member with your nomination and it will be added to the votes.
